Big-hearted staff at AquaCare have raised more than £550 for Julia's House after holding a prize draw.
AquaCare enlisted the help of local businesses to provide prizes for the raffle. The money raised will cover the cost of a morning's care for up to ten children at the Julia's House hospice in Corfe Mullen.
AquaCare has adopted Julia's House as its charity for 2009 and is proudly, and prominently, displaying its logo on the company's fleet of newly liveried vans. It is also encouraging its 77-strong staff to raise funds for the registered charity.
Julia's House is Dorset's only hospice dedicated to children with life-limiting conditions and offers care both at home and in the hospice.
In 2008 Julia's House organised more than 8,000 hours of care for 92 seriously ill children throughout Dorset. The charity needs to raise £2.4 million this year to sustain these services and help more children.
